Media Expo: Representing the changing face of marketing and consumer engagement

Sep 24, 2017

Scaling previous exhibitor records, media expo covers digital, signage and new-age printing technologies for marketers. Spread across 7,000 square meters of exhibition area, the 40th edition hosts over 120 exhibitors from five countries, marking a 20% increase in exhibition space as well as number of exhibitors.

Breaking its records for the Mumbai edition, Media Expo, India’s largest exhibition for indoor & outdoor advertising, signage and printing industries, opened its doors at Hall 6 of Bombay Convention and Exhibition Center, Goregaon East, Mumbai today. Spread across 7,000 square meters of exhibition area, the 40th edition hosts over 120 exhibitors from five countries, marking a 20% increase in exhibition space as well as number of exhibitors.

As the world is going digital, India is one of the few large markets where traditional media platforms like printing, LED signage, laser technology, and PoP continue to grow. In its recent advertising expenditure futures report, media services conglomerate GroupM estimates worldwide Adex to increase by 4.4%, with Asia-Pacific expanding by 6.3%. The report said India remains one of the fastest growing advertising markets globally. It is, however, interesting to note that while 80% of incremental ad spends growth in major markets comes from digital media, in India the numbers are more evenly split between traditional and digital media.

As advertising money shifts to digital, there is now a high emphasis on making the traditional and print medium more competitive and innovation-based. Companies from India, Japan, Korea, China, and the UK are showcasing this competitive media mix and novel solutions at the fair. Some of the key highlights include:

Unveiling of the TrueVIS VG-640 on Indian soil, Roland DG’s next generation advanced wide format Print & Cut machine

While traditional printing and marketing avenues continue to hold significance for marketers, in a charged marketplace like India, omni-channel experiences and touch points are equally essential and Media Expo captures this within its signage, retail & shop displays and visual merchandising and PoP segments where marketers can discover new innovations.”

Organised by Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India Pvt Ltd, this key business event will be open for trade professionals, marketers, advertising and corporate houses until 25 February.
